Armstrong Garden Centers wants everyone to love fall in love with gardening with free classes in February 2015. Customers are encouraged to come in to learn about orchids, preparing for summer veggies and waterwise gardening.
Armstrong Garden Centers’ scheduled workshops for February 2015:
• Saturday, Feb. 14, 9:00 a.m. and Sunday, Feb. 15, 10:00 a.m. – Orchid Care – Orchids look exotic, but their care is easy. We’ll show you the best way to water, feed, get them to rebloom and how to repot–all you need to know for beautiful orchids.
• Saturday, Feb. 21, 9:00 a.m. – Starting Summer Veggies from Seeds – Growing edibles from seeds is easy and fun–and very rewarding. We’ll show you how to start them off right and which ones will give you the best harvest.
• Saturday, Feb. 28, 9:00 a.m. – Waterwise Gardening – Have the garden of your dreams and save water too. Learn which plants are best for waterwise gardening and simple techniques to ensure you have a healthy and beautiful low-water garden.
Each class will be instructed by a nursery professional who will offer timely gardening advice and hands-on demonstrations. Advance registration or RSVP is not required to attend. Classes are open to gardeners of all levels. Armstrong Garden Centers also offers free garden talks from its experts for local garden clubs, homeowners associations and other small groups in the community.
